Status Update: Leveling Up in Data Engineering
Experimenting with modern data stack
A few months ago, I attended a Google Cloud Developers Meetup, which inspired me to learn new things.
Recently, I finished reading book Fundamentals of Data Engineering by Joe Reis. This motivated me to expand my skills and experiment with new ideas in a lab project.
I already have some data-related skills, but lately, I've been focusing on modern data stack:
- I have successfully completed the Google Cloud Digital Leader training, focusing on foundational GCP concepts and preparing for further cloud certifications.
- Learning Apache Airflow (PythonOperators, SSHOperators etc.)
- Exploring DBT
- Revisiting Liquibase (I used it a few years ago, so I just need a quick refresher)
- Apache Superset
